Funding program Start?Zuschuss! selects 7 Munich startups

Technology-oriented Bavarian startups can apply twice a year for the Start?Zuschuss! funding program. In the current competition phase, seven of the eleven selected startups are from Munich.

With the Start?Zuschuss! funding program, winners receive funding of up to €36,000 for their respective start-up costs. This time, the following seven Munich startups are benefiting: Presize, Aigora, Neolexon, Wedavinci, Bluego, Pionierkraft, and Innospot. The winners will receive funding of up to 50 percent of eligible expenses for a period of twelve months. This includes expenses for personnel, rent, product launch, and research and development.

Bavaria's Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger congratulates the startups:

“They get to work, put their ideas into practice, and we help.”

The Minister further explains:

"Around 100 startups applied—a new record. The increasing demand shows that we're on the right track. Bavarian startups have great, innovative ideas. We will continue to support them."

This is what the seven winners of the Start?Zuschuss! funding program are doing.

The following are pleased about the funding for one year starting in October: Presize, who want to minimize returns with their video solution and had already won the finals of this year's Baystartup business plan competition with this idea. The other business ideas from Munich also impressed the jury: Aigora combines artificial intelligence (AI) and health data, and also Neolexon works in the healthcare sector and develops medical apps for speech therapy. Bluego offers smart public transport tickets and Innospot impressed with its idea of AI-based startup scouting technology. Pioneering power wants to make sharing self-generated energy easier and more economical, and Wedavinci offers software for collaborative idea management.

The new competition phase for the Start?Zuschuss! funding program begins on November 11, 2019. Digital startups founded no more than two years ago can then apply with an innovative, particularly sustainable business model.
