Start?Zuschuss! selects winning startups

With the Start?Zuschuss! funding program, the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs supports technology-oriented startups from the Free State. A total of 20 startups were selected in the now-concluded 15th round of the competition – nine of them from the Munich scene.

Start?Zuschuss! is aimed at technology-oriented startups in the field of digitalization that were founded no more than two years ago. The goal of the funding program is to help young and innovative companies from Bavaria establish themselves in the market. The winners receive a financial grant of up to €36,000 to cover their start-up costs. 127 startups submitted their proposals to the current competition round.

Bavaria's Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger highlights the importance of the competition for Bavaria as a startup region:

"Young companies with digital business ideas are like a breath of fresh air for our economy. That's why we support these startups in developing their business models with our "Gründerland Bayern" initiative. Because entrepreneurial courage should be rewarded. The "Start?Zuschuss" funding program is part of our promise to make Bavaria the most startup-friendly federal state."

The Start?Zuschuss! winning teams from Munich

More than 100 startups from across Bavaria applied for the 15th phase of the competition – nine of which are from the Munich ecosystem. Most, but not all, are based directly in the city. The Munich winners are:
