At the Munich Startup Festival, the final for the place as the best Munich startup 2024 was hotly contested. Ten semi-finalists had qualified, namely 2NA Fish, Bavertis, Bone screen, Edurino, Exomatter, Hopfon, Radical Dot, Roundpeg, Treesense and We CarryRoundpeg, Radical Dot and Treesense as well as 2NA Fish made it to the final.
2NA Fish is the best Munich startup 2024
Ultimately, 2NA Fish won over the jury with its idea to revolutionize cancer treatment decisions. The startup's platform technology is designed to enable precise and predictable diagnoses for cancer therapy based on the spatial analysis of gene activity. The winning startup will receive a trophy and €10,000 in prize money.
The Munich Startup Awards ceremony took place backstage at the Munich Startup Festival, immediately following the final pitching round. Together with Arno Eggers, Head of Munich Startup, Gabriele Riedl, Business Development Manager at Messe München, this year's winning team. Arno Eggers said:
"At the Munich Startup Festival, we're not only celebrating the Munich startup scene, but also the winner of the Munich Startup Award for his impressive idea. We're delighted that we were able to increase the prize money to €10,000 with the support of the fair."
Munich Startup Award and a special prize
The winning team is very happy about the award. Christina Port, co-founder of 2NA Fish, accepted the award. She thanked the jury for the prize and said:
"The award is especially great for us because we're now establishing a limited liability company (GmbH) and can use the money as seed capital. The pitch contest was a unique opportunity for us because it gave us immediate validation. Firstly, through the audience in the semifinals and secondly, through the expertise in the final."
There was also a special prize, supported by Techprnrs, up for grabs. Treesense impressed the jury with its technology for real-time tree health monitoring.
