You can nominate yourself for the pitch contest at Bits & Pretzels and for the Munich Startup Award 2019 until August 11, 2019. Selected startups have the chance to win the Golden Pretzel. Munich startups can also win the Munich Startup Award, which comes with a prize of €5,000.
A panel of international VCs will select 100 startups for the pitch contest at the Bits & Pretzels startup festival in Munich. The top five startups will compete for the Golden Pretzel in the final pitch contest on the Center Stage. The Munich Startup Award 2019 will go to the best Munich startup that prevails against the other Munich competition participants.
The motto of the pitch contest
As in the previous year, the motto is again “Show, don't tell". Startups should focus their pitch on their product and waste as few words as possible on market size, finances, the founding team, or the company's history.
Here’s how you can apply!
To participate in the pitch contest at Bits & Pretzels, you must be nominated here. Startups with investors can ask their VC, business angel, or incubator to nominate them. Bootstrapped startups can request a nomination via the application form. Investors and other influencers also have the opportunity to nominate startups directly here.
All participating teams will receive a free ticket for the three-day trade fair. Each additional team member must purchase a startup ticket.
The winners of the last years
The Munich Startup Award is now entering its fourth round. In 2016, the smart city startup Cleverciti was able to convince, the following year the meta search engine Catchys the price. In the year In 2018 the award went to Inveox.
