Start?Grant! supports digital startups

The Start?Zuschuss! funding program is entering a new round. Startups in the field of digitalization can apply for funding until January 10.

For the 13th time, Start?Zuschuss! is calling for applications from Bavarian startups. This funding program, run by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, is aimed at technology-oriented start-ups in the field of digitalization with a particularly future-proof, innovative business model that was founded no more than two years ago as of January 10, 2022. Companies outside Bavaria are also eligible to apply if they have a headquarters, branch, or permanent establishment within Bavaria by the application deadline. This also applies to companies abroad. However, the funded business model must be implemented and established in Bavaria.

Participants in the program receive support, particularly for rent and personnel expenses, product launch, and research and development. Over a period of one year, up to 50 percent of eligible expenses will be reimbursed, up to a maximum of €36,000.

Funding through Start?Grant! begins in April

Applications are submitted online. In a first step, applications will be evaluated by an external jury by the beginning of February 2022. Selected applicants will then submit their funding application to the relevant government. The funding application will be processed by the end of March 2022, and funding will begin in April 2022.

In the last round of the competition, 28 startups were selected for funding, including Awake MobilityDeep scenarioFrientonhema.toLocalheroboxMyflexhome, Sessions, TFJ BuycycleUrbanistic and Zerobyte Software from Munich.
