With the Start?Zuschuss! funding program, the winners receive funding of up to €36,000 for their respective start-up costs. A jury of experts selected the 29 winners of the 11th competition from 149 submissions. Bavaria's Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger says:
"With this competition, we are supporting more startups in their early stages than ever before. To consistently seize new economic opportunities, we need, above all, innovative business ideas, flexible action, and new ways of thinking, which the founders from Bavaria provide us with."
Regarding the current competition round, the Minister says:
"This competition round shows that good ideas emerge not only in cities, but throughout the Free State. With their innovative solutions and business ideas, as well as their entrepreneurial momentum, startups secure the future competitiveness of our economy. The growing demand for our funding program proves that starting a business in Bavaria is attractive."
