The Wavelab is affiliated with the Institute for Cultural Management and Media at the HMTM. The new institution will further develop the experience the institute has already gained in the field of cultural entrepreneurship through its master's program in 'Cultural and Music Management'.
“It is time for the arts and digitalization to mutually enrich each other more.”
Maurice Lausberg, Head of the Institute for Cultural Management and Media and initiator of Wavelab, says:
"From the very beginning, our Cultural Management program has focused on cultural entrepreneurship. So, it's only a logical step to use the Wavelab program to promote the entrepreneurial steps of artistic and creative students and alumni from the ground up."
And Bernd Redmann, President of the HMTM, continues:
"It's time for the arts and digitalization to become more mutually beneficial. The Wavelab, as an interdisciplinary venue for artistic and technological innovation, plays an important role in this. I hope for many pioneering ideas and developments that will have a lasting impact on the cultural life of our society."
