Apply now for the BayFiD program

"BayFiD – Bavaria's Women in Digital Professions," the talent program of the Bavarian State Ministry for Digital Affairs, is entering its third round and is seeking 50 young women from Bavaria who want to advance their digital careers. Applications can be submitted until June 13.

The initiative of Judith Gerlach, Bavarian State Minister for Digital Affairs, provides all participants with valuable insights into the digital world. The 1.5-year funding program offers Events, workshops, and visits to renowned companies such as Amazon, Google, and BMW. Participants also gain access to the BayFiD network of mentors and role models who share their experiences and tips. Judith Gerlach explains:

"I hope that women will already be enthusiastic about digital topics when choosing a career and entering the workforce. We need to do the necessary preparatory work here: spark interest in digital topics early on, increase the proportion of women in research, support women in training and continuing education for digital careers, and promote female digital entrepreneurs."

Apply The program is open to all women between the ages of 18 and 30 with a primary residence in Bavaria who are interested in digitalization and STEM topics. It doesn't matter whether they are in the final stages of school, studying, training, or even in the middle of their careers. Incidentally, it's not a requirement to already be working in the digital industry—interest alone counts.

Sounds interesting? Then apply now for BayFiD. The application process takes about 15-20 minutes and is open until June 13, 2020. To apply, all you need to do is upload a photo and a short video and answer a few questions about your motivation.

All information about the program can also be found on bayfid.bayern.de.
