South by Southwest (SXSW) is one of the largest and most influential events for technology, innovation, and creativity worldwide. Combining a conference, trade fair, and festival, the event brings together startups, companies, creatives, and tech pioneers from around the world. Over 75,000 attendees are expected at the SXSW Conference alone, where they will engage in more than 1,000 keynotes, panels, workshops, and meetups on topics such as artificial intelligence, health, climate and sustainability, and energy.
The Munich delegation, led by City Councilor Manuel Pretzl, consists of startups, established companies, creatives, and a team from the state capital. A special highlight is the newly designed German Haus @SXSW, which will host numerous panels, networking events, and music acts from March 8 to 12. The City of Munich and Munich Startup are represented here as partners.

Innovative Munich startups had the opportunity to apply for startup packages from Munich Startup and Munich Business for SXSW. These are the ten winners:

- Pulsetrain (formerly Bavertis): Extends the lifespan of electric vehicle batteries and enables their reuse using AI and real-time data.
- Spree Interactive: Develops VR entertainment systems for leisure and adventure worlds.
- Summ AI: An AI-powered tool that automatically translates complex texts into plain language.
- Supernutural: A foodtech innovator that develops and markets sustainable nut cream machines.
- UniteLabs: Revolutionizing laboratory automation with a modular, cloud-enabled platform for faster research.
- User lane: An AI-powered technology platform that helps companies optimize the value of their software usage.
