Delicious DataDelicious Data also has a background in Gate. The AI startup aims to combat food waste with machine learning and algorithms. Its software-as-a-service solution is designed to help restaurateurs better plan their purchases. Using deep learning algorithms, the software analyzes historical customer data and combines it with other external factors such as holidays or weather data to make precise predictions for the future. According to Delicious Data, since its founding in 2017, save over 820,000 meals, which corresponds to 1,000 tons of CO2 equivalents and 15 million hectoliters of economic water. In September 2022, the startup also closed its last financing and received 2.5 million euros from existing investors Bayern Kapital and GeMü Beteiligungsgesellschaft as well as from Basinghall, Seed+Speed and several business angels.
