Certificate for founding your own startup

Are you looking for a certificate to help you found your own startup or—often more helpful than a diploma—support and funding to help you start your own business? Then the "Founding Your Own Startup" incubation program offered by Munich University of Applied Sciences and the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE) is just the thing for you. Applications are still possible until July 13, 2020.

Prospective entrepreneurs can apply for the university certificate "Founding Your Own Startup" until mid-July. This funding program from Munich University of Applied Sciences and SCE helps them turn their own business idea into reality, including the official certificate. The incubator combines startup support with a six-month training program. Participants should already have an initial business idea. Participants can implement their project here, whether in the pre-startup phase or the early stages of the startup. Regardless of the industry, the main thing is that it is an innovative and scalable business idea. This applies to products and services, high-tech and low-tech, software and hardware.

Founders and those who want to become founders receive, among other things, individual advice, a workplace in the incubator and network access to other successful founders, entrepreneurs, investors and experts.

Certificate for founding a business — not just for students

Another unique feature of the funding program is that, although it is run through the Munich University of Applied Sciences and the SCE, the startup certificate is open to all. This means that students and non-university members can participate. Working professionals and graduates will find the right funding to develop their own startup idea, including a certificate in startup management. All program services are free of charge. Admission requirements include a university entrance qualification and successful completion of a multi-stage selection process.

In addition to the aforementioned support, there's also a €2,500 budget available to help you build your own prototype. The goal of the funding program is to provide founders with the necessary know-how and a solid foundation through support and knowledge transfer. This should encourage the creation of more technology-based startups that will survive in the market long-term.
