Munich startups advancing urban mobility

Regional rail and public transport are currently experiencing a boom, thanks to the 9-euro ticket. These five startups are also aware that fundamental changes are needed in the mobility sector – especially in urban areas.

Plan4Better: How can people in the city be motivated to drive less? Plan4Better has developed cloud-based planning software for sustainable urban and transport planning that is designed to help with precisely this issue. Ideally, urban space is planned so that all everyday destinations can be reached by bike or on foot within a quarter of an hour. The spin-off from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) has received, among other things, the Innovation Award of the State Capital of Munich for its concept and was awarded the Smart Country Startup Award 2021 awarded.
