Munich startups advancing urban mobility

Regional rail and public transport are currently experiencing a boom, thanks to the 9-euro ticket. These five startups are also aware that fundamental changes are needed in the mobility sector – especially in urban areas.

Golane (formerly Bluego): Buying tickets for public transport varies from city to city and can be perceived as an obstacle to using public transport and preferring to use the car instead. Golane wants to put an end to this confusion and simplify ticket purchasing across cities. The idea: With the Golane app, passengers should be able to check in and out of public transport without having to purchase a special ticket in advance. Billing for the best ticket combination is done automatically after the end of a specific billing period. So far, the Munich startup's solution is live in Augsburg. (Photo: Golane)
