Plan4Better wins the Smart Country Startup Award 2021

This year’s Smart Country Startup Award in the Smart City category goes to Munich.

Plan4Better offers cloud-based planning software for sustainable urban and transport planning. Its purpose is to identify and evaluate suitable locations, such as for new bike-sharing stations, or analyze the effects of new infrastructure such as a pedestrian bridge, faster and more cost-effectively than with conventional tools.

The Munich-based startup impressed both the audience and the jury during its pitch at the Smart Country Convention. The Smart Country Startup Award, endowed with €5,000, is the innovation prize for young companies with outstanding solutions for the public sector and is presented by Get Started, the startup initiative of the digital association Bitkom.

Digital technologies for cities and communities

"From smart services for citizens to achieving sustainability goals: cities and municipalities must increasingly rely on digital technologies in the future. The Smart Country Startup Award has shown that startups in Germany can make an important contribution – with solutions that rely equally on technological innovations and are already usable in everyday life,"

says Niklas Veltkamp, member of the Bitkom management.

In addition to the prize money of 5,000 euros, Plan4Better also receives a one-year, free Get-Started Membership.
