Funding program Start?Grant! enters a new round

There is a very popular Bavarian funding program to support technology-oriented startups. The application deadline is January 18, 2021.

The Start?Zuschuss! funding program aims to provide straightforward support to founders in their initial phase. Specifically, the funding is aimed at young tech startups in the field of digitalization that have a sustainable, innovative business model. They must have been founded no more than two years ago. The financial injection is intended to help the startups establish themselves on the market.

And how does the Start?Zuschuss! funding program work? The Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs provides funding for business expenses for a period of one year. Founders receive subsidies for rent and personnel. Funding is also available for market launch and research and development. A maximum of 50 percent of eligible expenses is subsidized. However, the total funding cannot exceed €36,000. This means that if your expenses total €72,000, you could apply for the full amount as a grant.
