'Start?Grant!': 9 winning teams from Munich

The Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs is supporting 27 technology-oriented startups in their early stages with its "Start?Zuschuss!" program. A jury of experts has now selected the winners of the ninth phase of the competition. Nine Munich-based startups are among them.

More than 100 startups have applied for the 'Start?Zuschuss!' competition in the current phase. The winners will receive funding of up to €36,000 for their respective start-up costs. Bavaria's Minister of Economic Affairs, Hubert Aiwanger, is convinced:

"Startups are the medium-sized companies and employers of tomorrow. With their innovative ideas, they secure the future competitiveness of our economy."

More budget in times of Corona

The Minister emphasizes:

"The high demand demonstrates once again how right and important our funding program is. I am therefore very pleased that, especially in times of the coronavirus pandemic, we have been able to increase the budget and support significantly more startups than before."

About the competition 'Start?Grant!'

Digital startups founded no more than two years ago can apply for the 'Start?Zuschuss!' funding program with an innovative and sustainable business model. Winners will receive funding of up to 50 percent of eligible expenses for a period of twelve months. Funding will cover expenses for personnel, rent, product launch, and research and development.
