“1,000 meetings per hour” – This is what Slush is like in Helsinki

For years, Slush has attracted founders, investors, and tech enthusiasts from all over the world to wintry Finland – and it doesn't skimp on superlatives. This year, the organizers proudly declared the startup fair the "largest gathering of venture capital on the planet."

Slush 2023
What would a startup fair be without pitches? Founders from all over the world present their companies in the Startup Studio. Numerous topic clusters alternate over the course of the two days, catering to a wide range of interests, from fintech to computing & AI to energy. The Slush 100 semifinals will also take place on stage. 100 early-stage startups from Europe and North America will compete in the pitch competition, with the top 20 making it to the semifinals. The final, which takes place at the end of the second day on the Founder Stage, will determine which startup will receive the €1 million in funding from investors Accel, General Catalyst, Lightspeed Venture Partners, NEA, and Northzone.
