To participate in Phase 2 of the Munich Business Plan Competition, interested startups must submit a business plan of approximately 20 pages. It should include a short executive summary, a detailed description of the product/service, and an analysis of the market and competition, marketing and sales, business model and organization, opportunities and risks. The application deadline is March 28.
All startups that submit a business plan will subsequently receive expert feedback – regardless of whether they are shortlisted or not. The awards ceremony for the second phase will take place on May 24, 2023. A total of €9,000 in prize money is available, including €4,000 for the first-place winners.
Winner of the second phase 2022: Dymium
In the last year Dymium secured first place in Phase 2. The Munich-based company is developing a new method for the residue-free, minimally invasive removal of kidney stones. In Germany alone, 400,000 patients undergo endoscopic treatment for kidney stones each year. Half of these require follow-up surgery because residues in the kidney grow into new stones. Dymium's technology, on the other hand, magnetizes fragments of previously broken kidney stones using a biocompatible substance, allowing surgeons to magnetically extract them without leaving any residue. This reduces the duration of the operation and avoids further operations.
