In 2016, Fabian Eckert and Florian Pachaly founded Recup with the goal of establishing a Germany-wide reusable deposit system and thus creating a simple, attractive, and sustainable alternative to disposable packaging. The Munich-based company has now established a nationwide deposit network with over 13,500 collection and return points.
