The aim of the cooperation with Lakestar is to enable participants of the Manage and More and TUM Entrepreneurial Masterclass programs to learn from the practical experience of experienced founders and investors.
“Spin-offs from universities and startups are the key to ensuring that Germany does not lose touch,”
says Christoph Schuh, Investment Partner at Lakestar.
"Together with UnternehmerTUM, we want to invest significantly more in young talent to promote innovative ideas and support young startups. The willingness and competence to found a company are already there among younger generations. With our partnership, we are creating a platform where know-how and experience can be passed on to the next generation of founders."
“Lakestar is a strong partner with leading experts in venture capital.”
Ten times as many startups are created annually in the TUM and UnternehmerTUM environment as at most other German universities, according to Stefan Drüssler, COO of UnternehmerTUM. This demonstrates how much potential still remains to be tapped. UnternehmerTUM's training programs were attended by more than 6,000 participants last year. 300 startup projects received funding from the incubator, and 50 startups were supported in scaling. Drüssel says:
"Lakestar is a strong partner with leading venture capital experts and a compelling portfolio of startups. Our entrepreneurial talent can learn a lot from them for their own startups."
