Our diet is changing; it should become healthier and, ideally, more sustainable and environmentally friendly. These Munich-based food tech startups are also focusing on this.
Plan: Founded in 2019, the startup produces and sells a local, plant-based milk substitute in returnable glass bottles. The three founders, Julia Deuter, Mischa Sysoev, and Jonathan Herrmann, have developed a patented recipe that not only tastes good, but also contains all the important nutritional values that animal milk offers. Interview with Munich Startup The three explained: "With Pläin, we have recreated cow's milk using plant-based ingredients, which means we have a unique blend of raw materials and thus a very high-quality nutritional profile. We also produce locally in Freising and bottle in returnable glass bottles to defy the 'Tetra Pak' craze." Anyone who wants to try the plant-based milk for themselves can find it at the organic supermarket Vollcorner, at Feinkost Käfer, or at the Ohne stores in Munich. (Photo: Pläin)
