IAA Mobility 2021: How much startup does the mobility trade fair offer?

The IAA is taking place in Munich for the first time this year and has reinvented itself: The former auto show aims to succeed as a modern mobility conference. We've gathered some impressions from the exhibition halls and the 'Open Space' in Munich's city center.

The Munich startup Chargex presents the second generation of its 'Aqueduct' multiple socket for electric cars at the IAA Mobility. The founder Tobias Wagner reported at the stand shortly after the opening of the fair: "We're hoping for a lot of traction at the trade fair, that many people will come along and show interest. The first few hours are already going very well. The demand is huge." The Munich team has a clear objective for their performance: "Many people don't even know us yet. That's the biggest problem we have at Chargex. We're using this very platform we're given here to demonstrate how easy it can be to set up charging stations." Visitors to the booth can participate in a competition to set up a charging station as quickly as possible. The record during our visit was 26 seconds. (Photo: S. Tischer – Munich Startup)
