Avi Medical receives 28.5 million euros

Avi Medical's practice network aims to offer a new, modern treatment style: patient-friendly, technology-supported, and with a special human touch. The digital healthcare startup already operates three of its own general practices with this approach. The Munich-based company has now completed a Series A financing round of €28.5 million.

The financing round is led by Berlin-based health tech fund Heal Capital and New York-based investor Addition. Existing investors Picus Capital, Vorwerk Ventures, ID Invest, 3VC, and Claret Capital Partners are also participating. Business angels, such as Daniel Dines of UI Path, and the founders of Flatiron Health, Alasco, Finn Auto, Freeletics, M4Capital, and Inventures, are also on board. Avi Medical plans to use the capital received in the financing round to further develop its software and accelerate the growth of its practice network throughout Germany.

Avi Medical was founded in 2020 by Vlad Lata, Christoph Baumeister, and Julian Kley. The goal of the three founders is to redesign primary care in Germany and Europe. To achieve this, the Startup on evidence-based medicine in combination with the targeted use of modern technologiesFor example, patients will not only be able to book appointments online, but also complete their medical history forms from home on their smartphones. The Munich-based company also relies on telemedicine, so that patients can also have a video consultation from home, depending on the reason for treatment. Avi Medical's doctors will also benefit from the concept: Thanks to technology support, their administrative workload will be significantly reduced, leaving them more time for their medical treatment.
