The Spacefounders program starts in early September 2021 and runs for ten weeks. Participants can look forward to exclusive networking and inspiration sessions at two of Europe's most prominent space hubs—Toulouse and Munich—as well as online conferences and mentoring sessions. The program culminates in two Demo Days in Paris and Berlin, bringing together public funders and venture capital funds.
The project's partner is the French National Center for Space Studies (CNES). CNES is the French government's space agency and responsible for shaping French space policy and its implementation in Europe. As a supporter and sponsor of Spacefounders, the agency provides access to due diligence, powerful networks, and advanced technological resources.
The accelerator program is divided into three phases: The Scan phase focuses on identifying each startup's strengths and weaknesses. The Boost phase then addresses the identified weaknesses while helping startups highlight their strengths. The Fund phase is all about preparing startups for fundraising.
Spacefounders offers support from CNS, ESA and DLR
The selected startups will benefit from the network and infrastructure of CNES and the Bundeswehr University Munich. Participants can also count on the support of exclusive partners such as ESA (European Space Agency) and DLR (German Aerospace Center).
For its first funding, Spacefounders selects ten top-class European spacetech startups. Applications Applications are now open until June 13, 2021. The selected participants will be announced in early July. The entrepreneurs will then meet in Munich at the beginning of September for the program launch, which will conclude with the Demo Days in Berlin and Paris in mid-November 2021.
