7 Munich Female Founders You Should Know

According to the Female Founders Monitor, 165 of 1,510 startups in Munich have a woman on their founding team, which is just 10.9 percent. Nationwide, however, the proportion of female founders averaged 19 percent between 2016 and 2018, according to the KfW (KfW German Development Bank). So, Munich has some catching up to do. Until then, we'll introduce you to some of Munich's female founders who serve as role models for other women and can inspire them to start their own businesses.

Christina Polleti from Cluno: Christina Polleti and her husband Nico founded the mobility startup Cluno together with a long-time friend, Andreas Schuierer – after they had sold their first team startup, Easyautosale, to Autoscout24 in 2015. She told Munich Startup about her strengths: "In our founding team, I am the one who intuitively puts together many small mosaic pieces to create a picture and thus has a very good sense for future opportunities as well as challenges. I initiate measures and initiatives early on that prove to be important later."
