The Munich-based biotechnology company GNA Biosolutions is working on a coronavirus test that aims to deliver a conclusive result in 15 minutes. The company says it aims to bring the test to market within the next 8-12 weeks.
Faster COVID-19 testing and thus relieving the burden on laboratories nationwide — a Munich-based startup could make a decisive contribution to changing the current testing situation in the near future. GNA Biosolutions Based in Martinsried, Germany, the company is currently working on a rapid test that should take just 15 minutes. The Munich-based startup, a spin-off from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, aims to bring the test to market as quickly as possible.

Supraregional COVID-19 platform
To further exploit the potential of the Martinsieders region and the Bavarian region, BioM has launched a call for projects, encouraging companies and research groups to make innovative contributions to solving the COVID-19 crisis. This call generated numerous promising project proposals, which BioM will continue to support in their implementation, both through contacts with potential partners and with policymakers. Furthermore, BioM has launched the supra-regional COVID-19 Platform. It offers companies, research institutions, and hospitals an exchange platform for technologies and expertise in the context of COVID-19 research projects. Approximately 50 project ideas have already been received.
