Export Prize Bavaria honors successful companies

For the 13th time, the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs is honoring local companies that have successfully expanded abroad with the Bavarian Export Award. Applications are accepted until July 31.

The competition is sponsored by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Bavarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Association of Bavarian Chambers of Crafts in cooperation with Bavaria International.

The Bavarian Export Prize is awarded in five categories

The competition is aimed at small businesses with a maximum of 100 full-time employees in the five categories of industry, trade, services, skilled crafts, and "Land Genussland." On November 20, 2019, the winners will receive a trophy and a certificate, as well as a two-minute short film about their company and its success story. The film will be shown at the awards ceremony and subsequently made available to the company in German and English for promotional purposes.

"I am aware that international activities pose particular challenges for small businesses. Therefore, with the Bavarian Export Award, I would like to honor those smaller companies whose strategy, courage, ideas, and perseverance have led to exceptional success in opening up new markets abroad."

says the Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger.

"My hope is that other companies will take our award winners as a model and successfully seek opportunities abroad. Especially in times of increasing international uncertainty, I'm pleased when our companies successfully assert themselves in international business."

Applications are still possible online until July 31st.
