Since 2007, the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, the Bavarian Chambers of Industry and Commerce, the Association of Bavarian Chambers of Crafts and Trades, and Bayern International have awarded the Bavarian Export Prize. Price is awarded in the five categories of industry, crafts, trade, services, and the land of enjoyment to companies that have achieved particular success in international business. Bavaria's Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger says:
"With the Export Award, we honor Bavaria's entrepreneurs who, with courage, ideas, and perseverance, have successfully opened up international sales markets. International business remains the backbone of our economy. Each award-winning company is an ambassador for Bavarian products and services. With their entrepreneurial achievements and innovative spirit in developing new markets, they serve as role models that inspire others to follow suit."
Export Prize Bavaria: Jury selects winner
A jury consisting of representatives of the sponsoring organizations, five entrepreneurs, and representatives of Bayerischer Rundfunk and Münchner Merkur will select the five winners. On November 30, Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger will then present the awards. The prize will consist of a custom-made trophy from a Bavarian artisan and a certificate. A short film about each winner's company and success story will be made, which will be shown at the awards ceremony and subsequently made available to the company for promotional purposes.
