A lot is happening at UrmO: The Munich startup was just in the final of the Bits & Pretzels pitch competitionAnd today, it's launching its crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. The startup aims to raise a total of 65,000 euros from the crowd.
How will we move around urban spaces in the future? UrmO has a suggestion: with its small electric vehicle, also called UrmO. This innovative means of transport is a six-kilogram lightweight e-Floater, which can be folded to the size of a briefcase in seconds. It reaches a speed of 15 km/h and is controlled via intuitive weight shifting. This smart vehicle is ideal for city traffic.
Kickstarter campaign: The UrmO is now set to go into production
The team is now planning series production and has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. Starting today, the handy little car can be pre-ordered for €1,499, with the first 48 hours starting at just €999, followed by a further 50 vehicles for €1,299.
“Our funding goal is 65,000 euros, which gives us a solid foundation for series production,”
says founder Felix Ballendat.
The Kickstarter campaign ends on November 7th, and another campaign will launch on Indiegogo immediately afterward. The e-Floaters are scheduled to be delivered by the end of 2019. The vehicle is expected to be road-legal by then.
Wanted: Investors
In order to drive the further development of UrmO and develop new models, the Munich-based startup is also looking for investors who will support them with their industry knowledge.
