The #munich4EUROPE logo will be the Olympic Park for eight weeks. Mayor Josef Schmid commented on the motivation behind the campaign:
"I initiated the Europe campaign with the Munich City Council because a strong and united Europe is just as important for the municipality as it is for every citizen. With the upcoming 2019 European elections in mind, I want to encourage all of Munich to think about the future of the EU and get actively involved."
Seize European funding opportunities
The new website for companies and founders also fits in well with this: At mehr-fuer-muenchen.eu, the City of Munich consolidates information on European funding opportunities. On the new website, the 'Europe Direct Information Center Munich & Upper Bavaria' tells stories of Bavarian founders and educational institutions. The examples are intended to encourage founders and startups to apply for EU funding themselves, as the funding applications are often less bureaucratic than many imagine.
The website also encourages people to take advantage of the available resources. It also provides an overview of various funding opportunities and the right contacts.
