The BioTech Network BioM based in IZB In its matchmaking format, BioAngels in Martinsried connects innovative startup projects with private investors. The focus is on the life sciences and health tech sectors. Applications for the next pitch event on June 28, 2017, are still possible until April 24.
Prior to the pitch event, participating founders receive training to ensure they are optimally prepared for their presentation to investors. BioM supports potential investors—business angels, family offices, and traditional venture capital investors—in establishing investment consortia and informs them about new business ideas from the BioM network.
BioAngels are looking for founders
The range of topics from which the business ideas we are looking for is wide:
- Innovative drug development (e.g. individualized vaccines and immunotherapies, gene therapy approaches, cell therapies, novel anti-infectives)
- New diagnostic procedures
- Big Data & Digital Health
- Novel medical technologies (except large-scale devices) and approaches to regenerative medicine
- Innovative platform technologies and services
The participation fee per person is 75 euros (plus VAT) for pre-start-up projects and 150 euros (plus VAT) for companies already founded.
The pitches will take place on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at BioM Biotech Cluster Development GmbH, Am Klopferspitz 19a, 82152 Martinsried. The application deadline is April 24, 2017.
