By awarding the “Golden Nose” to the “Business Angel of the Year”, the Business Angels Germany (BAND) The "Golden Nose" is an annual recognition of the achievements of business angels. The award is a symbol of the success stories of experienced business angels. Furthermore, the award aims to draw attention to angel investing as a driver of growth and innovation, motivating even more entrepreneurially experienced individuals to invest capital and expertise in young, fast-growing companies.
A jury consisting of top-notch players from the German business angel ecosystem will decide who will receive this year's award after the submission deadline. The "Business Angel of the Year 2025" will be honored and recognized at the "Business Angels Community Summit" on Thursday, October 2, 2025, in Munich.
Who can nominate the Business Angel 2025?
- Only startups in which the business angel / angel investor is involved
- The investment must have been made after December 31, 2020.
Who can be nominated?
Business angels who
- provide outstanding support to their portfolio companies with capital, know-how, empathy and their network,
- have their main residence in Germany and
- have already made successful exits, at least that would be desirable.
What must the proposal contain?
- Short outline describing the outstanding commitment of the proposed Angel
- Contact details of the angel investor(s)
- Short profile of the proposing startup including contact details
