Who will be honored with this year's "Golden Nose" and thus named Business Angel of the Year 2019? Since 2001, the Business Angels Network Germany (BAND) has honored the angel investor with the best nose. Startups have until the end of March to nominate their business angels for the award.
Angel investors support startups in their early stages with capital and expertise, making, according to BAND, an important entrepreneurial and economic contribution. Since 2001, the Business Angels Association has therefore awarded the "Golden Nose" to the Business Angel of the Year. Nominations for the award are now being accepted.
Who can become Business Angel of the Year 2019?
Business angels (m/f/d) with the following profile can be nominated:
- Supporting portfolio companies through financing and know-how, network, support in an outstanding manner
- Participation in the startup(s) after 31.12.2014
- Main residence in Germany
- First successful exits desired
Who can nominate the Business Angel of the Year?
Potential "Business Angels of the Year" may only be nominated by the startups they are involved in. This can be one or more portfolio companies.

Nominations are possible online until March 31, 2019.
Award ceremony
The Winner of the Golden Nose Award is selected by a high-profile jury consisting of a selection of former Business Angels of the Year (the "BAND Heaven of Fame") and distinguished personalities in the business angel ecosystem. This year, the award will be presented at the Business Angels Community Summit 2019 on June 25-26 in Stuttgart.
