For almost three decades, the Munich Business Plan Competition, organized by Baystartup, has been a fixture in the local startup scene. Young companies based in southern Bavaria can submit their business concepts and ideas in three competition phases. Each phase presents different challenges for the teams, with progressively increasing levels of difficulty. After each competition phase, all startups receive qualified written feedback from a jury of experts. This allows participants to gradually develop and optimize their business idea. Online tutorials on business plan creation are available to support the competition. Entry is possible at any stage.
The goal after the final phase is a complete business plan for presentation to investors or partners. Especially for technology-oriented teams that rely on venture capital, the business plan competition is considered a springboard for the first rounds of financing.
The focus in the first phase of the Munich Business Plan Competition The focus is on the business idea and customer benefits. A business proposal of approximately seven pages is required. It should include a short executive summary, a detailed description of the product or service, and a market and competition analysis. The business plan or read deck must be submitted by January 21, 2025. In addition to individual feedback and access to the Baystartup network, the winners will receive prize money totaling €48,500.
