Curevision awarded the Bavarian Innovation Prize 2024

The Munich-based startup Curevision has received one of the main prizes of the 2024 Bavarian Innovation Award for its AI-supported wound analysis.

The Bavarian Innovation Award is a joint initiative of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Bavarian Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHK), and the Association of Bavarian Chambers of Skilled Crafts. The award has been presented biennially since 2012 in recognition of outstanding innovative achievements. This year, Curevision won one of the top prizes for its artificial intelligence-based analysis of chronic wounds.

The startup impressed the jury with its vision for improved care for patients with chronic wounds. Curevision's award-winning technology enables doctors and nurses to perform precise, contactless wound analysis in seconds. Using specialized sensors and adjustable lighting, the system provides detailed insights into the wound healing process.

Richard Fobo, Managing Director of Curevision, comments:

"Relieving the burden on nursing staff and improving medical care – that's what drives us at Curevision every day. That's why this award makes us so proud. Winning the innovation prize from Bavaria, our home and the largest business location in Germany, is a special honor."

The Startup This not only addresses a medical problem but also contributes to addressing the shortage of skilled workers in the nursing field. The technology is designed to enable nurses to save up to 90 percent of their time on wound analysis, leaving them more time for direct patient care.

The Bavarian Innovation Award underlines Curevision's potential to sustainably improve wound care and advance digitalization in healthcare. The next Competition is expected to start in early 2026.
