Change of leadership at Konux: Former Proglove boss Andreas König becomes new CEO

Andreas König has been the new CEO of the Munich-based railway startup Konux since September 1st. He succeeds Konux co-founder Andreas Loy, who is moving to the company's board. Prior to his move, König was CEO of Teamviewer and Proglove, as well as a member of the executive board of the Swiss telecommunications company Swisscom.

Konux combines machine learning and IIoT to create software-as-a-service solutions for the operation, monitoring, and automation of maintenance processes. the company on rail transport. By increasing capacity, reliability, and cost efficiency, Konux aims to strengthen rail as a mobility option. The startup was founded in 2014 by Andreas Loy, Dennis Humhal, Maximilian Hasler, and Vlad Lata. Loy has served as CEO of the company since then and as Vice Chairman of the Board since 2021.

Andreas König now succeeds Loy as CEO. In his most recent role as CEO of Proglove, a company for employee-centric wearable scanner solutions, Andreas König was responsible for the sale of the majority stake in the company to the private equity firm Nordic Capital. Prior to that, he served as CEO of the software unicorn TeamViewer for almost three years. As head of Swisscom IT Services AG, Andreas König successfully merged two business units with 4,500 employees, gaining deep insights into the business requirements of a state-owned company.
