Strascheg Award 2024: Apply now

The application period for the Munich University of Applied Sciences and Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE) idea competition is reopened. Students, professors, staff, and alumni of Munich University of Applied Sciences can submit their business ideas in three categories until September 30, 2024.

Exciting ideas are now being sought for the Strascheg Award, which is endowed with a total of 30,000 euros. The ideas competition is divided into three categories for innovative business ideas: The best business ideas from a course, from studies, and from science and practice are being sought. All students, professors, staff, and alumni of Munich University of Applied Sciences are welcome to apply with their ideas, projects, and scientific work. However, only one person in a team needs to belong to one of the aforementioned groups. Students and alumni from other universities are also welcome, provided they participate in programs or events of the SCE participated.

Strascheg Award: 5,000 euros for the first place winners

The decisive criteria for the award are the problem description, the solution approach, the degree of innovation, the market potential, and the implementation plan of the idea. The submitted ideas will be evaluated by entrepreneurship experts from the SCE and the Munich University of Applied Sciences, as well as an external expert jury.

The three top-ranked ideas in each of the three categories will receive €5,000, €3,000, and €2,000, respectively, at the awards ceremony in November. In addition, all participants will receive a personal consultation and qualified feedback on their business idea, as well as the opportunity to receive funding in the six-month SCE Accelerator Program. This program includes intensive consulting, exclusive seminars/workshops for founders, a prototype budget, and workspace in the incubator.

Applications can be submitted online until September 30th. Further information and application documents can be found here.
