The Strascheg Award is the Munich University of Applied Sciences' ideas competition and is awarded in three categories for innovative business ideas. You can submit ideas, projects, and academic papers driven by entrepreneurial spirit again in 2019!
Starting this winter semester, Category 1 of the Strascheg Award will be presented semester by semester. The awards are for the best business ideas developed during courses at the Munich University of Applied Sciences or the SCE.
Strascheg Award process
In the first stage of the Strascheg Award, students submit their ideas from courses in the current semester and can win €1,000, €500, or €300. Category 1 awards are presented in the winter and summer semesters, and the winners are automatically nominated for the second stage of the award in October 2019, with an additional chance to win €5,000, €3,000, or €2,000.
From the second stage onwards, ideas from the study period (Category 2) as well as from science and practice (Category 3) are added and can be submitted in July 2019.
At the awards ceremony in October 2019, the first to third place ideas in all three categories will be awarded a total of 10,000 euros in prize money!
Deadlines and dates
1st stage – category 1 only
- Submission deadline in the winter semester: 31.01.2019 (Round 1 of 2)
- Awards ceremony in the winter semester: February 12, 2019
- Submission deadline & awards ceremony in the summer semester: tbd
2nd stage
- Submission deadline (Category 2 & 3 only): July 31, 2019
- Awards ceremony (all categories): October 2019
