Neutron Star Systems (NSS) is a space company providing high-temperature superconducting spacecraft systems, enabling new commercial and defense capabilities for spacecraft by delivering more powerful, compact, lighter, and more efficient systems that enable the next generation of space missions.
WHAT WE DO
Neutron Star Systems's flagship product is an electric propulsion system for orbital mobility. It's called SUPREME. By combining Applied-Field Magnetoplasmadynamic (AF-MPD) thrusters with HTS technology, SUPREME offers our customers greater scalability, efficiency, and operational flexibility, enabling them to conduct more advanced space missions and reduce costs by billions of dollars. We differentiate ourselves with a much higher thrust-to-weight ratio, propellant flexibility to operate with propellant 1,000 times cheaper than current (xenon), and increased maneuverability. Our propulsion system can be used for the following applications:
• Small satellite constellations
• Space situational awareness
• Fast transport of space cargo in space
• GEO communications satellites
• Satellites for monitoring space weather conditions
• Operation of in-orbit service, assembly and manufacturing activities (OSAM)
• Cargo transfer to the moon
• manned and cargo missions to Mars and asteroids
We are raising €2 million to implement two signed contracts with the European Innovation Council (EIC), the European Space Agency (ESA), and secure a new €600,000 contract with the German Aerospace Agency (DLR). By reaching TRL 5, we will demonstrate the capabilities of our technology and benefit from more than 30 letters of recommendation, memoranda of understanding, and partnership agreements signed with commercial and government customers.
Converting these agreements into orders will support the flight qualification of our product, which is scheduled for commercial launch in 2027.
