The Munich-based startup Banksapi has been awarded this year's Handelsblatt Diamond Start Award 2019 for the best digital insurance platform in the 'Startup' category.
At the Handelsblatt Insurance Summit 2019, the title of “best digital insurance platform” was awarded the Diamond Star Award for the first time this year.
The Insurtech startup Banksapi, which offers a banking-as-a-service platform, impressed the Handelsblatt expert jury with its algorithm-driven data science technology. This enables insurance companies to analyze their customers' socioeconomic and demographic characteristics using intelligent payment flow analyses, creating a kind of financial blood test.
Banksapi: Digital added value for insurers
Jan Wichmann, Cofounder of Banksapi, comments on the award as follows:
