navel robotics is developing a social robot with a lively presence, its own character, proactive behavior, and social skills based on deep learning modules.
The goal is to create artificial beings like those we've only known and loved from 3D animations. We're convinced that such social robots will change our private lives in the future just as dramatically as the internet and smartphones once did.
navel robotics was founded within the context of the "VIVA" research project. In collaboration with universities and other companies, we work in a highly interdisciplinary team of natural and human scientists, as well as hardware, software, and electronics engineers. Users and designers also contribute. In this three-year project, we are developing the basic concept and demonstrators of the VIVA social robot.
