ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE MEETS JOURNALISM
Invent the future of journalism with us!
Algorithms can already independently create simple journalistic content, and chatbots are becoming increasingly better and more diverse at communicating with users. In the future, we will be able to build increasingly smart and autonomous environments with intelligent and adaptive algorithms. What do these changes mean for journalistic storytelling? Do we need to rethink content? How can algorithms take work off our hands? And what new opportunities for interaction are emerging?
#FUTURELAB WORKSHOP
In the #FutureLab, we want to invent the journalism of the day after tomorrow together with you. In a three-hour workshop, you'll develop initial ideas on the topic of artificial intelligence – together with our tech partner AX Semantics and our media partner t3n.
AX Semantics With its NLG Cloud Cockpit, it already offers artificial intelligence as a basis that enables fully automated text generation from a data source.
Our media partner t3n will provide you with exclusive access to their content API and selected content.
At the evening workshop, AX Semantics will present its technology and vision for the artificial intelligence of the day after tomorrow, and the digital pioneers from t3n will present their brand focus and possible content.
Together with our coaches, you can use the design thinking method to develop initial ideas for what journalism could look like in the smart home. You can then turn these ideas into working prototypes at the #FutureLab Hackathon on June 9–11, 2017.
SCHEDULE MAY 24
7:00 PM – 7:20 PM Presentation of AX Semantics & NLG Cloud Cockpit (including ATML3 programming language)
7:20 – 7:40 pm Presentation of the t3n brand, content API and access
7.40 – 8.30 pm Introduction to Design Thinking Methodology
8:30 – 10:00 PM Ideation in teams on artificial intelligence in journalism
#FUTURELAB HACKATHON
The idea alone is not enough for us, we want real prototypes for the future! #FutureLab Hackathon From June 9th to 11th, you can code for all five technology tracks for a weekend.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Anyone who is curious about the future of media and eager to explore radical ideas. All you need to bring is expertise in your field. Be it as a journalist or media professional, a developer, a designer, or a media & technology enthusiast!
MORE WORKSHOPS
