Startups in the fields of IoT, Big Data, and Mobile Networks can now apply for the new round of Telefónica's accelerator Wayra. A total of nine teams will be accepted for the nine-month program, which begins on July 4, 2016, in Munich.
The Munich branch of Telefónica's global accelerator program is now once again looking for nine national and international startups that want to advance and develop their businesses. The most innovative founding teams will receive Funding of 40,000 euros, a workplace, access to comprehensive mentoring and coaching sessions and contacts from the global network.
At the end of the nine-month program, the startups will pitch to invited industry experts, investors and journalists at the Wayra Demo Day. Telefónica's accelerator program aims to support the growth of innovative and technological companies. Wayra Germany had already supported the startup Neokami has demonstrated the success of its support. Just six months after participating in the accelerator program, the startup, which develops artificial intelligence solutions, received $1.1 million in seed funding.
The software startup NFWare, which develops virtual solutions for the telecommunications industry, was able to raise a six-figure sum in the seed round during its participation in the last Wayra round.
