Flixtrain expands cooperation with Germany Tariff Association

Germany's rail network is becoming greener, as Flixtrain is increasing the number of its stops through a cooperation with the Deutschlandtarifverbund.

Flixtrain expands cooperation with the Germany Tariff Association (DTV) A total of 31 cities will be connected to the Flix rail network via the combined ticket with Flixtrain and regional transport starting with the timetable change on December 10, 2023. Connections in eastern and western Germany will be particularly strengthened.

With the expansion of the DTV cooperation from five to 31 cities, the Munich-based company's network has grown to over 80 stops throughout Germany. For example, the Lübeck – Hamburg regional route is now available. In Hamburg, there will then be a connection to Cologne or Berlin via the green train.

Combined tickets for maximum flexibility

Braunschweig – Hanover is now also available via the combo ticket, taking travelers from Hanover onward to North Rhine-Westphalia. Many new stops in eastern Germany are also now available. For example, travelers can take the regional train from Jena to Erfurt and then board a Flixtrain to Frankfurt or Stuttgart. Combined tickets start at €5.99.

Travelers benefit from the cooperation between Flixtrain and the DTV, among other things, through a combined price. The regional train section is booked directly with the Flixtrain connection as a single combined ticket. To ensure maximum flexibility, there is no train connection restriction on the booked connections in the regional train section; the connecting ticket is therefore valid for the entire day.

Flix has been with its green trains since 2018 on rails on the way.
