Access to culture is proven essential for social inclusion and psychological well-being, and is even one of our human rights—yet 12 percent of Europeans and 34 percent of Americans lack such access. Existing digital offerings currently fall short of authentic cultural experiences. Therefore, Atopia is creating an immersive, social platform (metaverse) where all the world's museums, galleries, historical sites, and theaters can be experienced in VR or from a desktop, thus giving everyone access to cultural experiences.
Access to culture has been shown to be key to social inclusion and well-being and is part of our human rights - yet 12% of Europeans and 34% of Americans do not have such access. Existing digital offerings such as two-dimensional, one-way media (eg a concert video) rarely become real experiences. Atopia creates an immersive, social platform (Metaverse) where all the museums, galleries, historical sites and stages in the world can be experienced in VR or from the comfort of your own desk at home.
