The Media Startup Fellowship, a nine-month program, supports media startups with coaching, mentoring, access to a large media network, and up to €50,000. Fellows also receive access to coworking spaces. Media Lab Bayern does not take any shares from the supported startups in return for the support.
To success in 3 phases
The program is divided into three phases. Participants receive financial support in each phase. In the first phase of the fellowship, participating startups are expected to validate their prototypes, find their first customers, and develop a market positioning. During this phase, founders receive coaching in the areas of vision and validation, MVP and tech infrastructure, and pitching. The second phase focuses on optimizing sales and finding customers. Coaching sessions on digital marketing and sales, problem-solution fit, and business modeling are intended to support the startups during this stage. The third phase is all about investing. Participants are expected to develop a fundraising strategy. Accompanying coaching sessions are provided on digital marketing and sales, finance and forecasting, and fundraising strategy.
Applications for the program are still possible until February 7, 2023. Further information can be found on the Media Lab Bayern website.
