Apply now for the EIC-EIT Digital Venture Acceleration Programme

EIT Digital and the European Innovation Council (EIC) have jointly launched a new program: the EIC-EIT Digital Venture Acceleration Programme, designed to support startups in their international growth. The application deadline is May 10.

The EIC-EIT Digital Venture Acceleration Programme offers participating startups several benefits: For example, companies receive a year of tailored international growth support from the EIT Digital Accelerator worth €50,000. The programme also leverages its Europe-wide network of investors and top companies to support startups in raising Series A and Series B funding. This includes investment readiness coaching, investor meetings, and exclusive investor events. This same network is also designed to help them expand market share and acquire international customers.

Strict participation criteria for the EIC-EIT Digital Venture Acceleration Programme

To participate in the program, the Startups They must be active in the digital industry, digital cities, digital wellbeing, digital tech, or digital finance. They must also meet certain criteria. For example, they must currently be supported by the EIC or have previously been supported by the EIC Accelerator or the SME Instrument. Holders of an EIC Seal of Excellence can also participate. Furthermore, the companies must have been founded after January 1, 2012, and have an annual turnover of at least €300,000 in 2021 or a minimum turnover of €300,000 by June 30, 2022. Another alternative is total funding of €2 million.

The Application Applications for the program are open until May 10. The program launch is scheduled for June 1. Startups will be evaluated for participation based on the following criteria:

  • Innovation: How innovative is the technology/solution?
  • Growth potential: How scalable is the company?
  • Maturity: How ready is the company to scale and attract international investors?
  • Thematic suitability: Is the company active in one of the areas defined in the call for proposals?
  • Relevance: Can the company clearly benefit from support from EIT Digital?
