The aim of the TUM Venture Labs is to multiply the number of spin-offs of tech companies from academia. To this end, they create dynamic ecosystems of startups, academia, investors, and experienced companies. Individual venture labs are dedicated to different technology fields such as Built Environment, Healthcare, or Food/Agro/Biotech.
Application by October 10
With the Greentech Venture Award, the Venture Labs now aim to recognize sustainable business models. Technology- or knowledge-based venture teams with a clear focus on sustainability—for example, clean energy, the circular economy, or the bioeconomy—can apply for the award until October 10. To qualify, they should already have a prototype for a specific product or service and be in the pre-seed phase. Furthermore, at least one team member should have a connection to TUM. Application The teams must submit an English-language video of no more than 3 minutes online, in which they present themselves, their solution and its potential for a lasting impact.
Eight finalists will be selected from all applicants and will pitch live on stage at the TUM Sustainability Day in front of an audience and expert jury on October 27, 2022. The winning team will receive the Greentech Venture Award and a cash prize of €5,000.
