After a virtual edition in October 2020 and no event in 2021, the Bits & Pretzels The event was supposed to be held again at Messe München in January 2022. Up to 5,000 participants were expected to gather in person to experience live speakers like Zoom founder Eric S. Yuan and Hanno Renner of Personio. That's not happening now.
As the organizers announced today, the Founders' Festival will be postponed to September. The reason: the current coronavirus situation. The organizers originally intended to address this with a hygiene concept consisting of 2G+ (vaccinated with a positive result) and FFP2 masks, but have now ultimately decided against it.
Munich Startup would also have been represented at Bits & Pretzels in January with the awarding of the Munich Startup Pretzel to the best Munich startup in the pitch competition. Most recently, Pylot was delighted to receive the prize endowed with 5,000 euros.
Tickets remain valid
According to Bits & Pretzels, 84 percent of tickets for the January event have already been sold. The tickets remain valid. Additional tickets will be made available next spring. Bits & Pretzels 2022 also falls during the Oktoberfest season. Participants can therefore look forward to a Wiesn day as part of the Founders' Festival again after three years.
