SCE Startup Certificate: Apply now for the 7th batch

In the "Founding Your Own Startup" accelerator program offered by Munich University of Applied Sciences (HM) and Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE), aspiring founders learn everything they need to successfully launch their startup. Applications for Bach #7 are open until January 10, 2022.

The 24-week program combines startup support and founder training and offers an official certificate in the field of entrepreneurship. SCE and HM offer, among other things, individual consulting, a workplace in the incubator, and network access to other successful founders, entrepreneurs, investors, and experts. Further support includes €2,000 in funding for prototype construction and assistance with applying for public funding. Participants also receive student status for the duration of the program.

Who can apply for the SCE Startup Certificate?

Apply Students and graduates from all universities, as well as working professionals or aspiring entrepreneurs without a degree, are welcome to apply. A degree from Munich University of Applied Sciences is explicitly not required to participate in the program – however, a university entrance qualification (e.g., a diploma, bachelor's, master's, high school diploma, vocational baccalaureate, master's examination, or similar) is required.

The funding program is open to prospective founders from all areas and industries: product or service, software or hardware, social impact or commercially driven, high or low tech. The application deadline is January 10, 2022. A read deck, as well as CVs and diplomas of the founders, must be submitted via the online form It doesn't matter whether participants are still studying or already employed. International teams are equally welcome. The decisive factors are the novelty, scalability, and potential of the idea, the founding team, and their motivation and personal commitment.

After the application deadline, selected startup projects will be invited to an admissions presentation. Participants will have 15 minutes each to present their project and answer questions. Interviews are expected to take place in late January and early February 2022. Applicants should receive their final acceptance by February 11. The program will then begin in March. Upon successful completion, participants will receive their certificate in October.
